Maguga Dam

Maguga Dam forms part of Sub-Phase 1B of Phase 1 of the Komati River Basin Development Project. Construction of the dam commenced in 1998 and was completed in 2002. The dam is located at Maguga, near Pigg's Peak, in Eswatini.

Komati Basin Water Authority (KOBWA)

The Komati Basin Water Authority (KOBWA) is a bi-national entity established in 1993 through the Treaty on the Development and Utilisation of the Water Resources of the Komati River Basin, which was signed by the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Republic of South Africa in 1992. On 13 March 2026, the two Member States signed a Revised Treaty, reaffirming their commitment to the sustainable development, management, and utilisation of the Komati River Basin's water resources.
